I have been asked by my camera club to do a panorama presentation using PF. Has anyone got any ideas/suggestions on how to go about this.

I have been a PF user for years starting way back when it was in BETA. so I am familiar with most of it's attributes. The problem is it's usually second nature to me so trying to make a presentation doing what comes naturally is not going to be easy.

Any ideas?

Edd -

I had one guy at the office that was very interested in Panorama's but really felt that it was going to be too expensive or too complicated. What I did (and it might work for you) was to bring in my camera let him set it up and take a set of shots (perhaps you could take a group photo of everyone standing in a circle). Then I just took the images loaded them into PF and had him use the wizard. Since my tripod is using a panorama head to ensure that each image was the same rotation, I just put everything on automatic, and had him run the wizard. Sure enough within 2 mins we had a really good image, I showed him how to go in a correct a few things like ghost images, etc. but within 10 mins from when we shot the images we had a polished final 360 degree panorama.

If you have access to a laptop and a projector, this could make a very powerful demonstration. I have been thinking about doing this type of presentation for my Toastmasters club as one of my speeches, but I think the enormous table in the middle of the room will make it impossible for me to position and rotate the camera properly for what I want to do.

Hope these ideas help,
