Blending discontinuity from the Improve quality (Q+) command

Description

The image looks fine after stitching.  After applying the Improve quality (Q+) command (Image menu), there may be a noticable discontinuity in the image blending.   It may appear as a sharp increase or decrease in brightness or color.

This problem occurs when:

1. There is more than 50% overlap between one image and the next.
    
2. You adjust the lefthand boundary of the blend region by moving it to the left of its default position.
