Does the make of the camera e.g. Kodak DC265
or the lens type e.g. Fisheye could be specified in the program?

The answer comes in two parts:

1. The make and lens type need not be specified for V1.6. However, you must specify the focal length on the Focal length dialog (Tools menu) using the "35mm equivalent" notation.

For example, the DC265 has a zoom lens that is equivalent to a 38-115mm zoom lens on a 35mm camera. So if you use the extreme wide angle setting, you should enter 38mm as the focal length.

2. You mentioned fisheye lenses. The Panorama Factory supports only rectilinear lenses. In other words, it has no special processing for fisheye lenses.

I am not sure what The Panorama Factory will do with images from a fisheye lens. You could be the first to try it and report back to the FAQ!
