When I run out of memory with a big panorama, I break it down into 2 smaller panoramas. I then join those 2 panoramas. Invariably they are not the same size.

What isthe best way to get these 2 panorams the same size?

My experience is that they need to be the
same exact size, right down to the pixel.

I need a way to see exactly where the crop is taking place at the same time that I can see exactly the new size in pixels.

I use Photoshop to do the cropping, but it is a crapshoot. I can only see the crop line orthe size, but not both.

I would appreciate your suggestions of a program for getting the 2 panorams the exact same size with control over where the crop occurs.}

You can, in Photoshop, use the Marquee tool and choose to make it a particular size if you like..

But, what I would do;
-open first panorama.
-open second panorama, and bring in the first panorama as a new layer on top of the old.
-then align it where you want it.

now you have two layers, both in the same position and size which you can crop down to the necessary size by using the crop tool OR by using the resize canvas option which will let you specify exactly how many pixels (or inches or whatever) in size it is.
