Hi Becky,

I'll try to help if I can, but I'll need a little more information. I'm not sure what you mean when you say your "files are resizing properly". Can you explain how you are using The Panorama Factory and what is going wrong?

Also, how is Microsoft Picture It involved?

Hi Becky,

Thanks for responding and offering to help. My main purpose of panorama is stitching my artwork together, mainly pages to large to copy.

So of course I need to scan my art in pieces and stitch them back together, and to do so with the package, the files have to be the same size. But Im having trouble there. They are just a smidge which is keeping me from progressing to the next step.

Microsoft is my package used to fine tune, contrast, brightness, etc. And it's also where my computer will import files from once scanned. But I can't find a way to 'size' the pictures there.

My question is, how do you scan, to get them the same size from the start? Is there an obvious step Im missing?

The Panorama Factory was designed primarily for making panoramas where you rotate a camera to take pictures of a wide scene, not specifically for stitching scans of flat artwork. However, it can be used this way and will do a good job. Unfortunately, some parts of the process may be a little more awkward than if it were designed specifically for your purpose.

The requirement for all of your images to be the same size is one of the slightly awkward parts of stitching scans. Fortunately, there is a tool in The Panorama Factory that can be used to trim your images to be the same size. Please refer to Joining two scanned images for the step-by-step procedure for trimming the pictures. Of course, to use this method, you'll need to use the Classic (menu-based) interface. See Using the Classic interface for more information.

I hope this helps!
