Hello everyone,
after discovering Panorama factory I have started to create dozens of panoramas and I am still amazed by the ease and quality of this program.
However, it seems that I am now trying to push it beyond it's limits. When taking a several pictures with a modest wide angle lens (about 38mm equivalent) tilted significantly downward, PF is consistently not able match the pictures due to the huge distortion. PF simply does not recignize these pictures as belonging together, even though they have a significant overlap.
Of course I can fix things manually but with 80+ pictures in this scheme that would be a nightmare.
Is there any way to 'help' PF, e.g. by pre-distorting the images with Photoshop?
Yours,
Harald

Here's a few sample pictures. PF does not even recognize that they overlap

The blue-colored building is not recognized as beeing the same one in all the pictures.

The Panorama Factory does not support tilting the camera in the pitch axis, so it is not surprising that it cannot align pictures that have large tilt angles. Please refer to Setting up your camera for information about how to correctly set up your camera for The Panorama Factory.

Actually, The Panorama Factory supports tilting the camera if the rotation axis is also tilted. The FAQ Rugged horizon has a picture illustrating how the camera can be tilted. This can be used intentionally to create the "top of the world" effect. Also refer to Leveling the tripod for an example of undesirable effects from tilting the tripod.
