Before paying for my copy of PF, the panoramas I made ended up with a watermark from Panorama Factory. Now that I have registered and paid for the software new panoramas do not have the wtermark. How can i get rid of the watermarks in thepanoramas I already produced? I did not save any of the intermediate steps, just the final image.

Unfortunately, there is no way to remove the visible watermarks from an image that has already been saved or printed. If you have saved the panoramic stitching project (.PFP file), the watermarks can be removed by saving or printing the image again after entering your registration key.

Prior to purchasing The Panorama Factory, the License and Registration reminder panel warns that you must purchase a registration key in order to create images without watermarks. It is also explained in more detail on the help page Purchasing The Panorama Factory.

Unregistered copies of V3 add watermarks to images in an attempt to encourage people to purchase the software. If it were possible to remove the watermarks from saved images, the computer hackers would find a way to do it without purchasing The Panorama Factory.

If you did not save your project file, the only way to reproduce your images without watermarks will be to stitch them again. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

I created quite a few panoramas during the evaluation period. Before I did so, I printed out the manual, and found what it said about
removing watermarks on page 9. I now find that
I cannot remove the watermarks without doing
the work over again.
SUGGESTION: The honest thing would be to say this plainly upfront. I would have kept the
project files if I had known the information
contained in the posting by Mr. John Strait.

We have tried to be upfront and direct about the watermarking. I'm sorry you felt you were misled, but I assure you that was not our intention.

We've done the best we can to put this information where people would find it when they read about or download the trial software. We placed statements about the watermarking where we describe the try-before-you-buy provisions on the download page, in the End User License Agreement, on the page Purchasing The Panorama Factory and on page 9 of User's Guide (identical to the web page Purchasing The Panorama Factory). I think we have been very clear that you must purchase the software to produce images without watermarks.

The statement on page 9 of the user manual says essentially the same thing I said in my earlier post:

"In addition, if you saved a Panorama Factory project file during the evaluation period, you can save and print its images without watermarks."
I would consider placing this statement in additional places if you can suggest places that make sense. Unfortunately we can't always control what people will read before using the software!

We've tried our best, but perhaps there is a better way to tell people that the evaluation period is intended to help them make an informed decision about whether to purchase the software, not to do large amounts of work.

I apologize for the misunderstanding and for the inconvenience it has caused you.

It was no problem for me removing the watermarks on my saved images using a specialized software just for that purpose. I won't mention it's name here because I don't want Panorama to know exactly which software (they'll take steps to try to circumvent that as well). However, if you search really hard, you will find it.
Panorama needs to get rid of the watermark feature on it trial software. You can't evaluate the software properly, it's a nusiance, and people don't like it. So dump it in the trash can where it belongs. Also, Panorama needs to lower the price of it's products; they are way too high. Panorama needs to do what the customers want, not what Panorama wants.
