Once I've created a panorama picture, what is required to post it on my website, there must be more to it than normal JPEGs?

This all depends on what you are trying to do.

If you want to display the panorama as a still image, you can just put it on your page as a normal JPEG.

See The Panorama Factory Gallery for many examples of panoramic images displayed this way.

If you want to display your images using a panoramic image viewer, you will have to do a little more work.

MOV files (QuickTime QTVR format) and IVR files (LivePicture format) require a free browser plug-in available from Apple (MOV) or MGI Software (IVR). There is also a Java applet for displaying IVR files.

You can use the Preview feature of The Panorama Factory's new project Wizard to create web pages containing MOV or IVR images. These are very simple web pages that you can use as the starting point for your own pages.

There are other panoramic viewers such as the free PTViewer from Helmut Dersch that are not yet integrated into the previewing capability of the Wizard.

See the FAQ Cannot see a saved LivePicture....where do I download Plug-Ins? for more information about where to download viewers.
