Hello all wizards,

Does anyone know if there is an auto-rotate option in QuickTime (6.5.2) to 'activate' so a 360-panorama (QuickTime Movie format) starts rotation automatically once the file is opened?

Thanks for your help.

Greeting to All!

Can someone advise how to add auto-rotate pan within Panorama Factory? And how to create the quick time movie to start at a particular point?

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure that there is a way to make the QuickTime viewer perform automatic rotation. The "autoplay" option to the view appears to control only the playing of normal movies (motion pictures), not panoramas.

I haven't been able to find a way to make QuickTime panoramas rotate automatically other than through a Javascript program that repeatedly changes the viewpoint.

However, if you're willing to use a different VR format, you can get this effect. Panoramas displayed with PTViewer can be made to automatically rotate. Instructions are on the FAQ page Auto Rotating Panorama.

Instructions for controlling the initial viewpoint of a QuickTime movie are on the FAQ page Initial viewpoint and zoom for QTVR. It's also possible to do this with PTViewer as explained in the FAQ page Initial viewpoint and zoom for PTViewer.

We hope to provide controls for these viewer features in a future release of The Panorama Factory.

Dear John,

Have you tried Photowarp? Their output setting can set the desire Pan, Tilt anf FOV value, it is very easy to produce the desire QTVR effects, which I used it for my one shot solution. You can download a free trial and check out their interface and see what I mean. I hope eventually you are able to improve your software to help people such as me the clueless guy, this will make your product more automated and user friendly.

Thanks for your help.

Dear John,

Posted a link to the Photowarp site http://www.eyesee360.com/photowarp/

You can see at the top of the picture that highlights "Easy access to default view, auto-rotate, and constraint settings".

You can even download a demo copy to try it.

Hope to see this features in PF soon.

Cheers!
