Hi,
I'm getting a fairly strong gamma shift on my panos when displayed on a Macintosh. QTVRs which look good on my PC appear quite dark on my Mac. I've checked other Quicktime panos online and they don't display this shift in brightness. Is there some way to embed color profile information into a Quicktime file which is not being done by Panorama Factory? I love the software, it makes great stitches, I just need to be able to produce files which look good on Mac as well as PC.
Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I don't know a lot about color profiles in Quicktime. I'll have to investigate this further.

It might help me if you could send an example of a Quicktime panorama (MOV file itself or a web address) that displays correctly on both PC and Mac. Maybe I can learn what should be done differently in The Panorama Factory.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have the gamma on my Mac set to 2.2 instead of the typical 1.8. At 1.8 the QTVRs seem to appear equivalent to those on my PC. That said, however, I do not notice this on QTVRs I have viewed on the Internet - the appearance is the same on my Mac and my PC. I wonder if there is some profile information stored somewhere in the Quicktime file. I didn't see anything very helpful on Apple's site. If you find anything out, I would love to hear it.

Here is the web address of a QTVR which appears the same on my Mac and PC. http://www.motivatieweekend.nl/incentives/restaurant.html

Thanks,
