I have 2GB RAM on my PC with 80 gig free space for working space on C: drive where the swap space is located. It is currently sized at 1.4 GB.
I stitch images of 4256x2858 taken with a Fuji S2.
I just enter the focal length 42mm
If I try to stitch more than 11 photos i get memory error and the program exit.
10 photos works. What is the limitation or how do I calculate the limitation for stitchin large size panorama. I already could stitch panorama of 23 photos 2700x1800 without problem/

You did not say what version of Windows your are running. The image size limits are somewhat different on the different versions of Windows (98, XP, etc).

See Trouble report 70 -- Out of memory when stitching large images for information about memory limits in The Panorama Factory. (I think Windows XP follows the limits for NT & 2000.)

Each pixel in your image requires 4 bytes when it is in RAM (red, green, blue plus The Panorama Factory's housekeeping information). If we assume that you are overlapping your pictures about 25%, your stitched image will be about 75% x 11 x 4256 x 2858 x 4 = 400 MB. This is over the size limit for Windows 98 and ME, but within the limit for Windows NT, 2000 and XP.

It may be that you will need to upgrade to Windows XP in order to stitch these large images.
