When you save a Panorama Factory project, it saves a number of components so that you can return to the project later and make changes. Some of the other stitching applications store only the resulting image, which requires you to complete the image in a single session. I find that it takes me several sessions to get the result I want, and sometimes I return to make even more corrections later on.

You can control which images are saved and which ones will be automatically recomputed the next time you open the project with the Save images checkboxes on the Project properties dialog (File menu). This option controls the tradeoff between computation time and disk storage.

I am running Windows XP on a Sony Vaio 2 gig processor and 120gig HP. The Panorama program bombs and shuts down with "had a problem" when I go to save final image or project. Think is a problem with XP. Can anyone help
